I'm a friend of Katie's from LaGrange, and I like to blog-hop and read everyone's. I, like you, was ready for a baby and began to ask God to prepare my heart for motherhood, and prepare my husband's for fatherhood. Low and behold, we were pregnant- and on the pill. :) Our Saralynn was a surprise when we took a test three years ago yesterday.

I say that to say that you're exactly right- in God's timing, in accordance with HIS will, your family will expand. I expressed to our doctor (who is also overseeing Katie's pregnancy), a very godly man, that we were scared about finances. I had just ended a temporary job and didn't have anything permanent. It was scary. But, the doctor gave us a very wise piece of information- he said if you wait for the perfect time- financially, time-wise, season, etc.- you'll never have a baby. There's never a perfect time- other than God's time. My favorite verse got me through the anxiousness, and might just help you, too... One you know by heart, but that transcends any situation... "Be still, and know that I AM GOD". Still your anxious heart and listen for the still small voice of Jesus. If He can do all that He does, and loves us all that much, He will answer you, and in HIS time.

As for a remedy, just know how fulfilling it is (at least for now) to smile kindly to the mother in Publix that is wrestling a 2-year-old that wants the sugary cereal and throws a tantrum. Guess what? You can walk away! :)

I'm excited to see your sewing endeavors, and am very interested in the e-patterns. Did you get them off the etsy site? I've looked there a few times, but didn't know an e-pattern existed. I come from a line of very talented seamstresses, but just never took the time to do it. Now, I want to, and am not sure how to get started. But, your ideas just might be the way...

I saw something really cute a couple of weeks ago at the Market Day fair in Newnan. A lady took plain white onesies and cut out a pattern for a man's necktie and stitched it in the middle of the onesie. So, a little boy wears a tie. It was so cute! Another idea...

Looking forward to many more discussions on sewing ideas, and praying for God's timing for you and a little one, and for God to calm your anxious spirit as you wait. I, too, find myself wanting a second baby, wondering the same as you- is it because others are having them? How 'bout this- you pray for me, I'll pray for you. And anytime you want to see what life with a very strong-willed 2 year old is like, you can borrow our Saralynn. :)

Glad to have met a new blogging friend,
